Empire State Building
It was built in 1931 in record time, taking only 410 days to build, an admirable length given the time and means available at the time. At 443 metres tall, including its antenna, it is the third tallest building in New York, surpassed only by One World Trade Center and 443 Park Avenue. It currently has 102 floors.
One World Trade Center
One World Trade Center is the main building of the new World Trade Center. The skyscraper opened on 3 November 2014 and, at 541 metres, is the tallest building in New York.
Chrysler Building
The Chrysler Building in New York was the tallest skyscraper in the world during its first 11 months of life. Today, it continues to turn heads with its striking Art Deco architecture. The Chrysler is currently the sixth tallest building in
New York.
World Trade Center
The Twin Towers in New York, designed by Minoru Yamasaki, were part of the World Trade Center. These two skyscrapers, one 417 metres high and the other 415 metres high, changed the skyline of the city and were the tallest buildings in Manhattan.
